Changelog:
- 28/09/2023: Apparently, and according to neocities, this was the date I created my website. It was green and had a funny List of All Cats in the World, made up of exactly two cats.
- ??/04/2025: Tons of stuff. I got the layout by sadgrl up and running. Changed the background & header images & colours & a bunch of finer details to my liking. Created a bunch of folders and uploaded an equal bunch of graphics. Created a couple pages and filled them with placeholders until I get to work on them.
- 16/05/2025: I FINALLY figured out how to optimize element alignment on this website. AKA as I just edited the style.css sheet so that the h and p elements are always centered by default UNLESS specified otherwise by a right or left align element that I added. At first it didn't work, then I realized it was because the right & left alignments were overridden by the center alignment because it literally came first in the style sheet LOL. I learned quite a lot today. It will make working on individual pages much easier I hope.
- NOT A CHANGELOG: I have quickly realized the downsides of this layout I am using. I'm pretty thankful for it because it helped me get my website up and running in record time but there's just one tiny little thing I wish to change. For you see, when I generated the code it gave me one big block that contains both the HTML and CSS necessary to paste in one HTML file, and that's where the problem comes from; It's made so that all my CSS needs to be withinin the HTML file of every single page I make and that honestly sucks. I want my HTML pages to be cute and sweet little things that contain only the HTML necessary for them to run, and for the style to be well, in the style.css file like it should be. I have tried cutting the CSS part from a given page and pasting it inside the style.css file but it didn't work; I only got a barebone HTML page without any style (sorry lol) I have a little idea in mind I want to try and I hope it works out, if not I'll just keep going as is.
- 16/05/2025: Hey, it's me again LOL. I made it so that all my pages are now 1000px wide instead of just 900px. I think it looks much better. Added custom to-do lists for each page. I think it's very funny how I don't touch my website for a long long time then suddenly do everything when the stars align on a certain day, then the cycle repeats.
- 17/05/2025: Created a seperate folder for my buttons instead of having them be grouped with blinkies, now it feels much cleaner and more organized. Also rearranged the buttons displayed in the About page in alphabetical order to make it much easier to add buttons in the future. I made my own button so others can link to me if they wish.
- 18/05/2025: I played around with the style and colours more than I can even remember. Naturally I didn't save any of the changes because nothing looked better than my current arrangement of colours. ALSO BIG NEWS: I finally managed to make my gallery page look so nice. AKA, I added a grid-content div that groups every 3 images in a neat little row and they look soooo nice. Besides that, I added more stuff to my links page including a new Fun Web section. I even made a button to link to GifCities because they don't have one. My next plan is to make a Japanese links section just because. It's my website and I can do whatever I want. Or something like that.
- 19/05/2025: Made a new button because my older one felt a little ugly and blurry which is fair enough, but I quite like my new one. Maybe someday I will make a pretty animated one! I managed to make my gallery page look even nicer and started adding my favourite vg scenery gifs.
- 20/05/2025: Made a backup of this website because after all, it will take just one natural disaster or grave enough human error to cause a website like Neocities to go offline for good, but hopefully not in a long long time. I styled my links page to make it look and function better and discovered in the process the magic of custom boxes, margins, and padding. Now I can finetune everything exactly how I like it. Optimized some style stuff by removing elements that weren't working well or unnecessary. Today was great.
- 22/05/2025: I finally made a guestbook! Also joined a couple webrings that have messages I feel strongly about. That type of thing. It was lovely messaging the webring masters about it. Also created a blog page and made my first (barebone) post just to see how it goes and I feel quite satisfied about it. Also moved my guestbook link from the navbar to the footer and it looks much cleaner. Yippee!! I keep procrastinating working on my About page but only because it feels a little scary; it's like 100% putting myself out there...
- 23/05/2025: Added a fun lil increment button in the sidebar of every page. I don't quite know how the number got so high... the site that I first found the button on had a four figure number at best... weird stuff. Anyways, I added a bunch of new buttons to the About page and it's looking much more lively! And speaking of which, I added a fun little surprise in there, I hope whoever finds it has a good laugh. I also finally got the VHU widget working on my website! I'm a huge fan of Castlevania so it's an honour to be part of a dedicated online webring. The highlight of today's updates is probably me figuring out how to style my video game scenery part of the gallery, a box with autoscroll... so simple yet so freaking effective, now the whole thing looks a thousand times better.
- 26/05/2025: BIG NEWS: I finally managed to separate the style elements from the HTML!!! Weirdly enough, when I copied them one by one it worked and now all my CSS is in an external stylesheet like it should be!! Also optimized my layout more to my liking and it looks so good now. In other news, I gave up the whole Blog thing because let's be real again, I am not writing that much on any singular topic, so I replaced it with a Thoughts page.
